Siris Brewster Beer Festival 2019

It's here! The first brewster beer festival in Newcastle, and possibly the most northern brewster beer festival! Join us at The Town Mouse Ale House on 7-10 March to celebrate and showcase women in the beer industry. This festival is designed to highlight women in brewing, bars, and everything beer, and to celebrate their achievements. Breweries involved: Arcane Brewery North Brewing Co Marble Brewery Steam Machine Brewing Company McColl's Brewery Limited Tyne Bank Brewery Tap Wild Card Brewery Nomadic Beers Boss Brewery Plus more to be announced! On 07.03.18 we are holding a Symposium panel discussion at Newcastle University! The Symposium will be a panel discussion, where each panelist will spend around 10 minutes discussing their experiences, and a subject of their choice. We will then spend around 30 minutes discussing topics such as sexism in the beer industry, what we've done to combat it, and what we can do better. Finally, we will then have a Q & A where the audience can ask the panelists questions. Panelists: Melissa Cole | Award-winning beer critic and certified Cicerone. Starting at 6, we'll be individually showcasing and talking about THREE different beers which we'll have pouring. Including the range of small pack that will be introduced to our fridges. Women in the Beer Industry Tap Takeover

The beer industry in the UK can sometimes seem like a very male-dominated scene; we want to address this by highlighting and celebrating the work of some of the women doing amazing things in beer. We'll be pouring a perfectly balanced selection of beers chosen in collaboration with our friends at Ladies That Beer, featuring breweries from across the UK that have women in prominent positions (whether as owners, brewing, or otherwise). Featuring beers from: Neptune Lost & Grounded Burning Sky Wiper & True Burnt Mill Wild Card Nomadic Handyman Supermarket and of course from Marble. Our upstairs bar is closed during the afternoon for a ticketed event but will be open to all from 6pm.

Upper Floor Relaunch!

To celebrate the relaunch of our newly redecorated and refurbished upper floor at 57 Thomas Street we're having a party! We're going to have some special beers pouring, including an exclusive from our friends at Browar Grodzisk (Poland) - a keg of their Grodziskie smoked porter, of which the first 50 people coming upstairs will receive a free pour! We'll also be pouring two super-fresh Marble beers, the brand new Kimura Black IPA (5.5%) and the second batch of Hopoplata (7.2%), our dank and bitter West Coast IPA. If beer's not your thing, we're also launching our brand new cocktail menu - a mixture of timeless classics and unique Marble twists on old favourites. The drinks will be flowing from 5pm so be there and be ready!

EMERGE 20th Birthday Collab – Beer Launch

The launch of The Three Rs, a grapefruit and clementine Berliner Weisse brewed in collaboration with Manchester's EMERGE Recycling andFareShare Greater Manchester. For 20 years EMERGE have championed sustainable resource and waste minimization, through schemes like FareShare around Greater Manchester. This includes the rescue of the grapefruit and clementine’s that will be used in this beer. Marble have committed to a donation of 25p from each beer sold to support EMERGE projects around Manchester.
